Marika
Hi! My name is Marika and I was born in Setagaya, Tokyo. Given my desire to explore the world and understand different cultures I moved to Australia to complete my secondary education in a Gold Coast high school. Following my secondary school studies, I was accepted into Brisbane’s Griffith University where I graduated with a bachelor degree in tourism and hospitality.
After completing my Australian studies, I returned to Japan and worked as an assistant Montessori English teacher in a Tokyo nursery school.
I am passionate about teaching children using the Montessori teaching methods and philosophies. I enjoy facilitating children’s learning through fun based activities that enrich their lives and keep them motivated to want to learn more.
I welcome this opportunity to work as an EDUC cultural teacher to educate children in the Japanese language and culture. I look forward to meeting you!

Marina
Hello, my name is Marina. I grew up in Hyogo, Japan and graduated from Osaka’s Kansai Gaidai University with a bachelor degree in English. I am passionate about education and exploring new cultures, so I moved to Canada to study Early Childhood Education. Through this study I learned a lot about different teaching methods, including Montessori. I gained considerable teaching experience through my placements where I worked with children from very young ages through to adolescents. After completing my four years education studies in Canada, I returned to Japan and worked as an English teacher for 3 years, where I facilitated learning for children from 0 to 15 years of age.
I’m a happy and positive person and I like to play sports. I am really pleased to be living in Australia and working as a teacher with EDUC Intercultural, to again support children to grow and enrich their lives through education.

Hi, my name is Akari and I was born in Tokyo, Japan. I spent a year as a high school student in America where I met children from a wide range of backgrounds. I love working with young children and building communication through fun based activities. Dancing, especially classical ballet and music has been a big part of my life and I look forward to sharing them with children through my work with EDUC Intercultural.
